Terms of Service and Policies for InstaTools

Use of InstaTools means you accept these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy below. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the date above.

1. What InstaTools is

InstaTools provides browser based utilities that help you save or copy Instagram content you are allowed to access. Current tools include Instagram Story Downloader, Instagram Reels Downloader, Instagram DP Profile Downloader, Instagram Private Reels Downloader for approved followers, and Instagram Bio Copy or Downloader. We are not part of Instagram or Meta. Use of InstaTools must follow Instagram’s own terms and local law.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the site. If your laws require a higher age, follow that rule. If you use InstaTools for a company, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for what you do on InstaTools. Only download or copy content that you have the legal right to use. Private accounts require the owner’s permission and your follower status. Do not use InstaTools to invade privacy, to harass someone, or to distribute content you do not own. Follow copyright rules. Respect trademarks. Obey any platform restrictions.

4. Permitted use

Use InstaTools for personal and lawful purposes. You may save copies for backup, education, research, or other fair and permitted uses under your laws. You may not use the site to build a competing service, to scrape at scale, to automate high volume requests without our permission, or to bypass technical protection measures.

5. Content ownership and rights

Creators and rights holders keep their rights. InstaTools does not claim ownership over content you fetch with our tools. We do not host large libraries of media. We process links that you provide and return files or text the platform already serves to you. Quality and availability depend on the source. If a Story has expired, it will not be available. If an upload is low resolution, the output will match that limit.

6. Private content and authorization

For private content you must already be an approved follower who can view the post in your own session. InstaTools does not grant access to content that you cannot see on Instagram. You must log in to Instagram directly in your own browser if required. We do not ask for your Instagram password and we do not automate logins.

7. Prohibited activities

Do not:

  • Infringe copyright or moral rights
  • Share someone’s personal data without consent
  • Misuse logos, names, or trademarks
  • Probe or harm our servers or other users
  • Use automated bots to overload the service
  • Circumvent any access control or watermarking
  • Repackage the site or resell outputs without permission

We may suspend or block access when we see abuse or risk.

8. Intellectual property of InstaTools

The site design, text, code, and logos are owned by InstaTools or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer parts of the service unless laws give you a non waivable right to do so.

9. DMCA and takedown

If you believe your rights are violated by content fetched through InstaTools, contact us with a detailed notice that includes the link, a description of the work, your contact details, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act. We will review the request and take appropriate steps which may include disabling specific flows or blocking links.

10. Third party services

InstaTools interacts with external platforms like Instagram. We have no control over their availability or changes. Platform updates may affect tool behavior. We work to keep compatibility but cannot guarantee it.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect accuracy, or specific outcomes. You use the site at your own risk. To the maximum extent allowed by law, InstaTools disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

InstaTools will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of 50 CHF or the amount you paid to us in the past three months, whichever is higher. Some places do not allow these limits. Your rights may vary.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless InstaTools and our team from claims and costs that arise from your use of the site, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of third party rights.

14. Termination

You may stop using InstaTools at any time. We may suspend or terminate access without notice if you break these terms, create risk to others, or operate automated abuse. Sections that by nature should survive will survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and limits of liability.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict rules. Courts in Zurich have exclusive jurisdiction. If your local law requires a different forum for consumers, that protection still applies.
