Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at instatools.net and the tools it provides (the "Service"), operated by instatools ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What instatools is
instatools is a free, browser-based set of tools that lets you fetch and save publicly available content from Instagram — such as Reels, videos, Stories, photos, profile pictures, and bios — as well as content from private accounts you are already permitted to access. The Service is provided online; there is no account, no software installation, and no physical location involved. We do not host, store, or archive the content you retrieve: when you submit a link or username, the corresponding public content is fetched and passed to your device in real time, and is not kept on our servers.
2. Eligibility and age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. The Service is not directed to children below this age.
3. Not affiliated with Instagram or Meta
instatools is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc., or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. "Instagram" and "Meta" are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe the content the Service works with. Your use of Instagram itself remains subject to Instagram's own Terms of Use.
4. Acceptable use and your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for how you use the Service and for any content you retrieve through it. You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and with Instagram's terms. In particular, you agree that you will not:
- use the Service to access, download, or save content you are not legally entitled to view or save;
- download or reuse copyrighted content without the permission of the rights holder;
- re-publish, sell, redistribute, or commercially exploit downloaded content without the owner's consent;
- use downloaded content to harass, defame, impersonate, stalk, or harm any person;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape at scale, reverse engineer, or circumvent any security, rate limit, or access control of the Service;
- use the Service in any way that is illegal, abusive, or that interferes with other users' ability to use it.
It is your responsibility to verify whether the content you download is protected by copyright and to use it only in accordance with the law. We are not responsible for, and do not endorse, the ways in which users choose to use content obtained through the Service.
5. Copyright and intellectual property
Content available on Instagram belongs to the people and brands who created it. The Service provides only a technical means to retrieve publicly accessible content; it grants you no ownership of or rights in that content. We claim no ownership over any content retrieved through the Service. All copyrights and other rights remain with their respective owners, and you must respect those rights at all times.
The instatools name, the website design, text, graphics, and logos that we ourselves provide are our property or are licensed to us, and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy or reuse them without our permission.
6. Zero tolerance for copyright abuse
We operate a zero-tolerance policy toward the use of the Service to infringe copyright. Because the Service fetches content automatically on request and does not maintain a stored library, we cannot review content in advance. However, where we are made aware that the Service is being used to facilitate infringement of a specific work, we will act on valid notices as described in Section 7 and may block specific links or identifiers from being processed.
7. Copyright complaints (DMCA / takedown)
If you are a copyright owner, or are authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe the Service has been used to access your material in a way that infringes your rights, you may send us a notice. To be effective, your notice should include:
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
- the specific link(s) or username(s) involved, so we can identify the material;
- your contact details (name and email);
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Send valid notices to [email protected]. On receiving a valid notice, we will take appropriate action, which may include adding the reported link or identifier to a blocklist so it cannot be processed through the Service in future.
8. No warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that the Service will always work, that any particular link will download successfully, or that the Service will be free of errors or interruptions. Instagram and similar platforms change frequently, and features may stop working at any time without notice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, instatools and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, or to any content you obtain through it. Because the Service is free, your sole and exclusive remedy for any dissatisfaction is to stop using it. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless instatools and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights.
11. Advertising
The Service is free and may be supported by third-party advertising. Your interactions with advertisers and any third-party websites you reach through ads are solely between you and that third party. Please review our Privacy Policy for how advertising and cookies are handled.
12. Changes to the Service and to these Terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. It is your responsibility to review the current Terms, and your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
The laws that apply are the jurisdiction that govern these Terms and Conditions, as well as any governing statutes, without regard to any conflict of principles of law (or conflicts of law) that might exist.
